When it comes to third-person adventure games, I thought I had experienced every character type possible – special agents, historical figures, fantasy creatures, and various protagonists. However, playing as a Stray Cat offers a truly fresh experience. Blue Twelve Studios, a team of creative developers based in the south of France, deserves recognition for bringing us this unique feline character. Our protagonist is a ginger cat who falls into a mysterious subterranean city and searches for a way home. Lost in a beautifully designed futuristic city, the cat encounters friendly robot inhabitants who assist throughout the journey. The detailed environments feature stunning lighting and numerous interactive spaces perfect for feline exploration.
The game encourages thorough exploration of every alleyway and hidden corner to discover collectible memories that reveal the city’s fascinating history. As an ordinary cat without special powers, you’ll engage in authentic feline behaviors—drinking rainwater, resting, and navigating the environment with remarkable realism. This focus on genuine cat behaviors has attracted a diverse audience who appreciate the game’s unique approach.
Accompanying you on your mission is a helpful small drone companion attached to the cat. This companion not only assists with gameplay elements but also helps uncover the story behind the city’s current state. B-12 proves to be a valuable ally throughout your adventure. My only wish was for more time with this charming four-legged protagonist.
